2022 Annual Golf Tournament Results
Dry Creek Ranch Golf Course, July 14

Internal Event

The members of the Sacramento Buddhist Church Golf Committee extend our appreciation to the sponsors, raffle prize and cash donors, and players for their support of this year’s golf tournament.

We also like to give a huge shout-out to Dry Creek Ranch Golf Course for hosting our 143 golfers, and to Chris and Jin Choe and their mother for preparing the most delicious Japanese/Korean bento box lunch for the players and their guests. The committee thanks the many volunteers who helped us make this tournament “run like clockwork”’; we could not do this event without their help and support.

The committee was very mindful of the higher level of difficulty imposed by the course layout as we entered our second year at this venue. We decided one way to “tame the tiger” was to shorten the course by moving the tee boxes several yards forward from their normal position. Many of the players we heard from favored this decision. They added that having an array of on-course cold beverages made the day’s outing refreshing and enjoyable.

The blind draw teams’ results and winners of the closest-to-the-hole contests are listed below. This information, along with the list of players and photographs of the day’s activities are presented on this posting.

Please take a moment to peruse these digital images of our players and volunteers. We hope all of you were able to renew old acquaintances, share a few laughs together and most of all have fun throughout the day.

We’ll see you all again during the summer of 2023. The date and venue will be announced on the temple’s website in March of 2023.

Be safe and sound until we meet again next year!
