On August 8, a wildfire on the Hawaiian island of Maui destroyed the historic city of Lahaina, including the Lahaina Hongwanji Mission.

The Buddhist Church of Sacramento is selling Kushiyaki Bentos for $15 to benefit the Lahaina Hongwanji Mission.

We are now taking preorders for Kushiyaki Bentos. Preorders are due by 11:59pm, Friday, September 15.

Pickup is Sunday, September 17, from 11 am to 1 pm. 

Each bento includes a teriyaki beef skewer, grilled chicken skewer, and grilled shrimp skewer served over rice with a side of kimchee and garlic edamame.

Limited quantities will be available for purchase after the Ohigan service on Sept. 17. The cost is $15, with all net proceeds going to Lahaina.
