Discover Your Family’s Japanese History
Jan. 15, 2023 in the Hondo and on Zoom

Internal Event

Are you interested in tracing your roots back to Japan?

Do you have Japanese registry documents you need help interpreting?

Please join us for an informative session on how to trace your Japanese ancestry presented by Marty Wolf.

Marty Wolf graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Japanese and specializes in locating Japanese family registry documents. Many Japanese Americans do not know much about their ancestors prior to their Issei generation. The two major obstacles tend to be the Japanese language and general unfamiliarity with relevant documents. In this session, Marty will help teach you how to research your family history traced back to Japan. Please bring any Japanese registry documents you need help interpreting.

This is an in-person event in the Hondo, with remote participation via Zoom. (Remote participation will not offer Q&A capabilities.)

Please register by Jan. 10.  Here’s the LINK to register.
