THANK YOU!
To patrons and volunteers for the Bazaar
We were thrilled (and exhausted), to be back in person!
Our 77th Annual Japanese Food and Cultural Bazaar was held in person on Aug. 12 after three years of virtual and drive-thru events.
Thank you to the patrons and the hundreds of volunteers who made this event a success. Without each and every volunteer, our biggest fundraiser of the year could not have been possible.
A huge THANK YOU to our bazaar steering committee, under the leadership of co-chairpersons Marty Sakata and Gordon Nitta, for all their efforts and planning that allowed us to implement the new processes for this year’s bazaar. Thanks also to the bazaar steering committee:
- Marty Sakata, Co-Chairperson
- Gordon Nitta, Co-Chairperson
- Robbie Midzuno, Treasurer
- Don Honda, Equipment Rentals and Supplies
- Roger Ito, Supplies
- Darryl Nishikawa, Supplies
- Russell Oto, Produce and Supplies
- Mark Amioka
- Karen Adachi
The construction of the booths was the work of many volunteers A special shout-out to Gordon Nitta, Don Dote, and Gary Traganza. Special thanks are extended to Jean Kushida-Uda and KC Fong who coordinated and managed the centralized cashiering system and inventory and order fulfillment process.
To the Sangha and friends who made monetary donations, we are grateful for your support. Your generous donations helped to supplement the income traditionally generated through our very popular Bazaar Raffle ticket sales which we did not have this year.
