Highlights of the 2026 Pupu Party

On Friday, June 19, 2026, members and friends of the church gathered at House Kitchen and Bar in downtown Sacramento for the Annual Pupu Party Benefit, a relaxed evening of food, fellowship, and generous support for the Betsuin Scholarship Education Fund. The event brought together guests in a private party setting featuring appetizers, conversation, and a brief program celebrating the spirit of giving within our Sangha.

The Pupu Party Benefit is one of the major fundraising efforts of the Betsuin Scholarship Education Fund. The Fund helps support educational opportunities and encourages young people in our church community as they continue their studies and develop their talents. This year’s gathering recognized the 2026 Class of Betsuin Education Award Recipients: Riley Amioka, Nathan Lee, Brodie Sato and Jacie Shimosaka; the 2026 Class of ABA Community Service Award Recipients: Riley Amioka, Evan Atha, Nathan Lee, Brodie Sato and Jacie Shimosaksa; and past Betsuin Educational Award and ABA Community Service Award recipients.
