Kansha Project Returns
The Sacramento Adult Buddhist Association, Sacramento JACL, & Florin JACL are hosting/sponsoring another Kansha History Event on August 24, 2025 at the Buddhist Church of Sacramento from 4 – 6 p.m. in the Kaikan.
In this new event, additional data and stories will be presented on Nikkei farmers and their agricultural impact, the substitute operators/corporations who became caretakers of their farms, and the federal loans many of those caretakers/corporations received. This presentation will include findings from loan documents, an analysis of the successor farmers, agricultural reports, and census data.
This new event would also give the people who were on the last event’s “wait list” the opportunity to attend.
This is your opportunity to secure and/or confirm that your ancestors did own farm property prior to being sent to Camp as well as the disposition of the property.
