Start the New Year with Prime Rib and Clean Slate
If you loved last year’s New Year’s Eve prime rib dinner, join us again. If you missed out, you won’t want to miss this year---we are adding live music and dancing to make this year’s celebration even more memorable and fun!
Celebrate December 31, 2026, at the Buddhist Church of Sacramento’s New Year’s Eve Dinner & Dance, featuring Marty Sakata’s famous smoked prime rib and the crowd-favorite band Clean Slate, returning after their popular Bazaar performance.
The evening begins with the New Year’s Eve Joyae service at 6 p.m. Seating for dinner opens at 6:30 p.m., and those attending the service are welcome to join immediately following the ringing of the kansho. Dinner begins at 7 p.m., and dancing starts at 9 p.m. Enjoy a live dessert auction, then welcome the new year with a festive sake and champagne kampai!
Vegetarian and salmon entrées are available for dine-in guests, along with a pasta dinner for children ages 12 and under. Prefer to celebrate at home? Prime rib takeout is available at either 5:30 or 6:30. Dance-only tickets are also available.
